Vehicle Cybersecurity Blog

Insights From the Inside

This blog covers OBD security, connected vehicle defense, SAE and ISO standards development, cybersecurity tips and what’s actually changing in automotive cybersecurity.

Automotive cybersecurity engineer Mark Zachos’s work spans more than 30 years of experience authoring SAE and ISO vehicle security standards. His work includes OBD port hardening, J1939 network security and connected vehicle defense across commercial fleets, consumer vehicles and military platforms. He sits in the room where the rules get made and then goes out and teaches others.

Founder of The Dearborn Group and president of DG Technologies and Synercon Technologies, Mark created CyberTech as a dedicated cybersecurity brand. He uses it to establish vehicle diagnostic adapter product security in the hardware and software DG develops. And he sees it as a way to bring awareness to the modern industry threat of cyberattacks.

Whether in the classroom, a conference room or DG’s Michigan-based headquarters, Mark keeps cybersecurity at the forefront of everything he does.

And this is where his experience meets the page.
